This anniversary report summarizes Global Women’s Institute’s (GWI) achievements and future direction. Our research shows that VAWG can be prevented. In some cases, their research shows how interventions have reduced the prevalence of violence by more than half and explores where and how such approaches can be scaled up for greater impact globally. With a growing body of evidence, what is needed now is political will, resourcing, and action that enables grassroots women’s rights organizations and local civil society groups to lead and expand this work. GWI is committed to continuing to accompany these efforts.
