This report presents a comprehensive assessment and analysis of the situation of children and women in Samoa. It provides an evidence base to inform decision-making across sectors that are relevant to children and women, and, in particular, is intended to contribute to the development of programmes and strategies to protect, respect and fulfil the rights of children and women Samoa. It covers the child outcome areas of health (including nutrition), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, child protection (including child justice) and social protection. By assessing and analysing the situation for children and women in relation to these outcomes and in relation to relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this report seeks to highlight trends, barriers and bottlenecks in the realization of children’s and women’s rights in Samoa.
