The issue of gender equality in Papua New Guinea is an important issue and needs attention and proper handling by the government. This country is one of the unsafe countries for women and children. This is due to the high level of violence and the minimal participation of women in various sectors of life. In 2020, data from an academic study showed that there were complaints of sexual violence and 90% of the victims were women, 74% of women were under the age of 18. This study aims to analyze the issue of gender equality in Papua New Guinea by describing gender inequality and the United Nations Women in its efforts to promote gender equality in one of the Pacific countries. UN Women has carried out various programs related to gender issues in the Asia-Pacific region and PNG is one of them
