Christianity and Women in Bougainville

As a member of the technical team for Bougainville People’s Congress, the author provides an overview of the Bougainville conflict and gives the first hand stories of two women’s experiences during the 10-year blockade of the island. This is done from a Christian perspective and the author makes some final reflections about identity, and her hopes for women’s participation in the governing of Bougainville in the future.
