This report highlights issues in each sector, together with contextual information for better understanding of the gender disparities and concerns in the sector. The relationships among sectors must also be acknowledged and maximized, such as the impact of education on health and economic empowerment. Achieving Timor-Leste’s gender equality goals involves overcoming considerable challenges, which will take time and effort. This CGA has revealed much progress since the last country gender assessment in 2005 and emphasizes great focus on implementation in going forward.
