This publication targets donors and development practitioners across the Pacific region and is intended to be used as a tool to guide the substance and direction of future programming in disaster risk management and adaptation to climate change. It provides a starting point for further discussion and exchange on issues of climate change, natural resource management and the importance of integrating gender into policy and programme activities and synthesises the issues and outcomes from the workshop on the ‘Gendered Dimensions of Disaster Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change’, held in Suva, Fiji, in February 2008.
