Economic empowerment programs for women and culturally embedded entrepreneurism: a viewpoint from Solomon Islands

As in other places in the Pacific, the push to get more women involved in business in the Solomon Islands have been connected to economic empowerment programs which help build capacity through activities and training areas such as bookkeeping and budgeting, business management, marketing skills, and obtaining start-up capital (Steven, Banks and Scheyvens 2019).
