This report outlines how institutional arrangements can disadvantage Pacific women’s access to retirement benefits in three key areas: regulatory impediments, organizational practice and women’s economic participation. The report includes data and analysis of the legislation, policy and practices of funds in 11 Pacific countries. The report proposes a range of priority reforms to address women’s disadvantage in accessing retirement benefits.
