The Native American and Indigenous Studies Association (NAISA) Council is inviting proposals for in-person, hybrid or virtual one-day gatherings/symposia to occur between January and June 2022.
In this moment of uncertainty and unknowingness, NAISA Council is committed to supporting multiple spaces where Indigenous intellectuality, scholarship, creativity, cultures and community can once again demonstrate survivance. Themed, Sustaining Indigenous Liveliness, the impetus behind promoting smaller regional gatherings has arisen because of the unique situation we find ourselves; a pandemic, and the desire to maintain the spirit of NAISA, which has always recognized the importance of local relationships whilst promoting the idea of Indigenous Studies as a global phenomenon.
